Georgia Emergency Associates
Georgia Emergency Associates (GEA) incorporated in July 1994, and began providing emergency care at Candler Hospital in Savannah. Over the last 20 years, we have grown to over 60 physicians, 45 physician extenders and a host of support staff.

In July 2000, in partnership with St. Joseph’s/Candler Health System, the company expanded its services to include urgent care medicine. As of July 2013, we now provide emergency services at five Georgia hospitals: St. Joseph’s and Candler Hospitals in Savannah; Southeast Georgia Health System’s Camden and Brunswick campuses; and East Georgia Regional Medical Center in Statesboro, Georgia. In addition, GEA manages six immediate care centers located in midtown Savannah, Garden City, Statesboro, Hinesville, Pooler and Bluffton, South Carolina.

Georgia Emergency Associates (GEA) is an organization of dedicated Emergency Medicine Specialists that have been staffing Emergency Departments and Immediate Care Centers across Southeast Georgia since 1994.

The success of GEA is credited to our staff. The longevity of the physician and administrative staff gives us the vision to continue to grow Georgia Emergency Associates. In addition, our administrative staff has positioned us to be successful in efficiently managing both the business as well as administrative aspects of our practice.

GEA’s primary function is to support its professional staff. The day a physician begins employment with GEA is the day GEA goes to work for the physician. We provide ongoing feedback on physician productivity and risk management activities of the company. GEA offers a solid benefits package that encourages our professional staff to plan on spending their careers with us. In addition, we are fortunate to live in coastal Georgia with all the recreational benefits it provides. As a result, there is almost no turnover in our physician staff.

Thank you for your interest in our company.  Please contact us for more information.
